Why groups choose SMK Medical

Certified, convenient, and taught by a nurse

Most CPR classes ask your staff to drive across town on a Saturday. We schedule around your calendar and train your whole team at once, at your school, office, church, or facility.

Registered nurse instructors

Clinical expertise in every class

Your team learns from a registered nurse who can answer the real questions: choking in a classroom, an allergic reaction at recess, a collapse in the parking lot.

We travel to you

Onsite across Metro Detroit

We bring all equipment to your location in Detroit, Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, and Monroe counties. Larger Michigan groups outside the metro area can request travel.

Two national programs

Red Cross and American Heart Association

We match the course to your requirement. Schools and workplaces often need Red Cross CPR/AED; hospitals, clinics, and nursing programs usually require AHA BLS.

Yes. Onsite group training is our focus. We travel to schools, workplaces, churches, and healthcare facilities across Detroit and Metro Detroit with all the equipment needed.

Who teaches the classes?

Every class is taught by a registered nurse who is a certified instructor in the course being taught.

What is the difference between Red Cross CPR and AHA BLS?

Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED is designed for the general public, teachers, and workplaces. American Heart Association BLS is the healthcare-provider course most hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and nursing programs require. If your employer or school names a specific course, book that one; if not, we will help you choose.

Can teachers and school staff be trained during a professional development day?

Yes. We regularly schedule around in-service and professional development days so a full staff can be trained in one session.

Is there a minimum group size?

Group size, pricing, and travel depend on the course and location. Book a quick call and we will give you a clear quote for your group.

Can we add bloodborne pathogens training to a CPR class?

Yes. Many schools and workplaces pair Red Cross CPR/AED with Bloodborne Pathogens Training on the same day.

Do you train CPR instructors?

Yes. We offer Red Cross and American Heart Association instructor courses. Learn about becoming a CPR instructor.
